Beginning/Intermediate Band

ALL Beginning Band students will attend Intermediate classes starting May 19. 

Those students who do not complete Lesson 15 by September will repeat Beginning Band. 

 

Summer Winds

Advanced Band, Symphonic Band, and Symphony Winds combine in the summer to become the Summer Winds.  Please note: 

Directors: Mr. Orlando Otis and Mr. Keith Farmer

 

 

 

SUMMER 2009 PERFORMANCES SCHEDULE

If your student needs a folding chair for the summer performances, please take one out of the basement at Grant Avenue Community Center and keep it all summer. 

If you need 2 folding chairs, take them.  No need to ask; just help yourself.  Please return them at the end of the summer.

Fall 2009 Auditions

Fall Audition Music and sign-up sheets will be available starting in May on the balcony outside our office at Grant Avenue Community Center.  This audition music is for all students who are moving into Advanced, Symphonic Bands, Symphony Winds or are already in these bands.

 

Remember:  This audition will be your only chance to improve your placement in the section!  Chair placement will be set for the entire year by these auditions.  Practice diligently to do your best!  Lastly, bring your Achievement Book to your audition! If you do not have one, now is the time to get one.  Note: students may not audition for the next level until all Achievement Requirements for their current level are completed.  If you wish to change bands, you should work on your requirements and inform your sectional teacher when you have completed them.

If you need a shirt for the summer, see Mrs. Smith.
