Instruments Our current wish-list includes two
marimbas, two xylophones and a
vibraphone. These instruments can
cost thousands of dollars each.
Maintenance CHBA maintains several sets of
percussion equipment for use by our
percussion students during rehearsals and concerts.
We also maintain our
own wind instruments and make them available for loan to
member families
who cannot afford to rent or purchase the instruments.
Venues
CHBA incurs yearly rental fees for our Winter and
Spring Concert venues,
Englewood High School and The Kenneth King Center.
These performances
are integral to our program, and offer our students a
wonderful forum both to
hear younger and older students play and to share the
fruits of their efforts
with family, friends, and the community.
Music
Our extensive music library houses over 3,000 music
scores for band. In
addition to choosing pieces from our library, we
routinely purchase new
scores for each of our five wind ensembles to offer
students and audiences
alike the chance to experience the most recent
contemporary music.
Teachers
CHBA employs a staff of over twenty instrumental
specialists and band
directors from around the metropolitan Denver area.
Our high teacher to
student ratio is crucial to our success in fulfilling
our mission to open a world
of opportunities for our students. Because
we provid weekly Master Classes
and opportunities for one-on-one instruction, we can
maintain a challenging
curriculum for our students and ensure that they receive
the guidance they
need to maximize their potential. |
