ORLANDO OTIS
is the director of Symphony Winds and Advanced Band. He is a 1986 graduate of Louisiana
Tech University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education.
In 1992 he became the Director of Bands as well as Instrumental Music
Department Chair for the Denver School of the Arts. Orlando was also the Director of the Denver Public Schools Citywide
Marching Band which he directed for six years.
Mr. Otis is currently the Director of Bands at Chaparral
High School in Douglas County, Colorado. He received the 1996"
Governor's Award for Excellence in Education" and the 1999 IBM/CHSAA
"Outstanding Educator Award."
